August is a 23-year-old aspiring film critic and college graduate in Film/Media who hails from New Jersey. He began developing his taste and passion for film after starting high school, and just in the past few years has gotten back into television too. He also enjoys a good video game every now and then too when he isn't doing a Netflix marathon or keeping up with news in the entertainment industry. Often finds himself collecting books and comics more than he actually reads them. He started his own blog for film reviews entitled License to Review, on account of James Bond being his favorite series and character, and then followed that up by becoming the Entertainment Editor at his college newspaper. Ask him what his favorite anything is and he'll immediately jump to Aliens, Seinfeld, Led Zeppelin, and everything from Blizzard Entertainment and Naughty Dog.

TV Review: Hannibal (3×13) – “The Wrath of the Lamb”

Well nobody thought Hannibal would end with pretty rainbows and bright sunrises. Bryan Fuller’s conception of Hannibal “the Cannibal” Lecter had little choice but to stare into the dark abyss and dive headfirst into its murky waters before finding even…

TV Review: Hannibal (3×12) – “The Number of the Beast is 666”

“We’re all making our way through the inferno.” Ain’t that the truth. The entire story of Hannibal has been about its characters making their way through the personal hells and demons threatening to consume their well-being, some more than others,…

Movie Review: ‘Sinister 2’

The first Sinister, directed by Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) and written by both Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill, won both praise and box office receipts to land itself as a surprise hit in 2012 that actually deserved…

TV Review: Hannibal (3×11) – “And the Beast from the Sea”

Hannibal has done such a great job of acclimating its audience to an idea of a Hannibal Lecter that’s still so creepy and dangerously conniving when he’s left to his own devices out in the real world that it’s easy to forget…

TV Review: Hannibal (3×10) – “And the Woman Clothed in Sun”

Francis Dollarhyde’s transformation into William Blake’s Great Red Dragon is in full swing now on Hannibal, but the introduction of the compassionate Reba McClane has thrown a curveball into his journey that he could not have expected. She’s the first…

TV Review: Hannibal (3×09) – “And the Woman Clothed with the Sun”

Remakes are a weird thing, because as much as we try to take them on their own merits and ignore the original versions of stories, the very nature of remakes means that there will be areas that heavily remind us…

TV Review: Hannibal (3×08) – “The Great Red Dragon”

“The Great Red Dragon” represents a realignment for Hannibal as it enters the last half of its third (and most likely but hopefully not final) season. Hannibal Lecter is now imprisoned behind his glass cage, a familiar sight to those…
