Hitting theaters October 5^th, Liam Neeson returns at Bryan Mills in Taken 2. This time, the CIA agent, his wife and daughter are found in Istanbul, where the father of one of the kidnappers that Mills killed in part 1 calls revenge on Mills and his family.

While promoting The Grey, Liam Neeson told the press that the film takes place in Istanbul, Paris and Los Angeles. It starts out in a small Albanian airport where the 8 coffins of the dead kidnappers (the Mills killed) are dropped off. Why the year long wait? The film explains that due to bureaucracy reasons, it took the French government a year to get the bodies in Albania. The coffins were then transported to Triposia, Albania for the funerals of the bodies. Rade Serbedzija plays Murad, the father of Marko (who was electrocuted) and swears revenge by saying he will bring Mills’ body back to Albania.

In Los Angeles, Kim (Mill’s daughter, played by Maggie Grace) is taking her road test, which she failed twice already. Neeson has stated that the driving lessons are an important part of the movie. Also, Mills’ ex-wife Lenore (Famke Janssen) is divorcing her current husband, Stuart. Meanwhile, Kim has a boyfriend Jamie who she can’t really commit to due to the things she’s been through. Also, Mills installed a GPS in Kim’s phone.. .

In France, Jean-Claude (Olivier Rabourdin) is gaining known to be Mills’ friend. Suko is Murad’s main henchmen, so he and five others find Jean-Claude, tie him to a chair and ask him where Mills is.

Back in LA, Lenore and Kim have to skip their vacation due to the marriage problems she’s having with Stuart. Mills is going to Istanbul for a bodyguard job and invites Lenore and Kim, who decide to sleep on it.

In Istanbul, his three day bodyguard job is finished and he goes to the hotel to find Kim and Lenore there. That night, he takes Kim to a club and then sightseeing. The next day, Kim decides to go to the pool while Mills and Lenore go to the Bazaar for lunch. Lenore and Mills are then surrounded by Murad’s men after a car chase. Before being captured, Mills calls Kim to tell her that her parents are . . taken. The henchmen come after Kim who is hiding, and Mills and Lenore are taken to an Albanian safe house (still in Istanbul). We don’t know how Mills gets in touch with his daughter, but his daughter is to bring back help and weapons for Mills to fight with.

Well, we can only honestly tell that Kim is connected with mills through the GPS he put in her phone. It is told that the movie will feature even more crime fighting scenes than the last.
