Drum Corps International is a musical phenomenon that must be seen and heard to be believed. Many of you might not know what a drum corps is and that’s OK, but if you’re any fan of music then I highly suggest that you check out this incredible experience. A drum corps, short for drum and bugle corps, is a brass and percussion based marching band that focuses on precision and power in order to push the boundaries of musical expression and performance. They travel all across the country, throughout the entire summer, performing in hundreds of different stadiums. Videos simply can not do these amazing groups justice but feel free to check out some of the highlights from last year’s season below.

Monday, June 18th, DCI brings you 6 of the best corps in the country, performing their 2012 shows for the very first time this year. Coming to select theatres near you, witness the beginning of the 40th season of Drum Corps International right in your own backyard.
