A film with Ryan Reynolds and talking animals? Yes, please! In just a few more weeks, get ready to see a whole new side of Mr. Reynolds in his latest film, The Voices. This dark comedy/thriller, written and directed by Iranian filmmaker Marjane Satrapi (Persepolis), tells the story of Jerry Hickfang, a normal guy with a normal job with a rather unsettling disorder that transforms him into a not-so-kind murderer who takes orders from Bosco and Mr. Whiskers, his dog and cat respectively. Crazy, right?
This R-rated film premiered last year at Sundance and had some really good reviews. The trailer looks insane and gives some good insights on what to expect. The Voices also stars Anna Kendrick, Gemma Arterton, and Jacki Weaver and will arrive on limited release and on VOD on February 6th.
