Another new day brings another new Dishonored gameplay video. Bethesda is quick to show off some of the possibilities that lie within Dishonored’s gameplay mechanics, and while some might not seem entirely new, the game looks to give the player the freedom that any gamer would openly welcome. Corvo’s arsenal of special abilities is not limited in the least, sporting powers that are all extremely deadly even when they are used by themselves. The real trick is to figure out which powers work well with others, and understand that the gameplay system supports many different unique combinations. There seems to be tons of style points to earn when deciding how to take out a foe or simply just deal with a bystander or witness. Personally, I love the reversed polarity on the security gates. How will you kill in Dishonored?

If you don’t know much about Dishonored or missed some of the previous reveals, check out the walkthroughs, the original trailer, and the ‘Daring Escapes’ trailer, right here on The Young Folks. If you just want the basic idea, Dishonored blends both stealth and action alongside a very dreary, hopeless world. The protagonist of the story, Corvo, has been framed for the murder of the empress, whom he had served faithfully as one of her bodyguards. Now he is a wanted man, on the run from the both the law and society itself. Tasked with seeking justice and vengeance upon those responsible, the player is faced with a multitude of tactical and ethical decisions, resulting in uniquely different approaches to gameplay. Look for it stores this fall on October 9th.
