Judging by the hit and miss season 23, The Simpsons looked like it was headed towards being nothing special. But, it was revealed on tonight’s season premiere of the 24th season of The Simpsons was an exciting contest. After the credits of the episode, the Simpsons clan showed up and announced that a contest in which you can submit your own couch gag idea in 100 words or less and one of the many uploaded will be chosen on an episode this season. It was also revealed that the winner would get recognition in the credits of the episode it airs on. Al Jean said that this was an opportunity for people who has an idea for a couch gag and thinks they can do better.
