The CW recently greenlit a project for Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (bothproducers from Gossip Girl) are on board to produce the Sex and The City prequel, “The Carrie Diaries” by Candace Bushnell. At this point it seems like Candace Bushnell will be on board as executive producer and Amy B. Harris is attached to be scribe and co-producer. A couple months back Gaby wrote a review about the second book of the series titled “Summer And The City“. In case you’ve  never heard about it, ”The Carrie Diaries” follows Carrie’s life during her senior year of highschool in the early 1980s.

I think this could be a hit for the CW because not only are Schwartz and Savage experienced in this whole teenage drama deal, but also they will be getting SATC fans to watch the show so I’m calling this a possible hit. Also, who doesn’t love the 80′s? I am most definitely excited to see the set and costumes that they will bring to the show.
