Book trailers seem to be all the rage these days. I never really watch them, only because I found them to be rather cheesy. I didn’t want a piece of promotional material turn me away from a book I would’ve liked otherwise. However, I decided to take a look at the just-released book trailer for Clockwork Prince, the second book in The Infernal Devices trilogy.
I must say that this is one of the better book trailers. While I still think it looks corny, it’s big improvement over previous book trailers. Plus, Ed Westwick (Chuck in Gossip Girl) does the voice-over! Click the image below to watch the trailer over at EW.com. The video unfortunately isn’t embed-able.
What do you think? I really liked Clockwork Angel, so I’m looking forward to this book. The costuming looks good and distracts from the hokey art direction. I’m hoping it isn’t as mysterious as it seems and we get some answers in this book. But I have a feeling Clare will leave us with even more questions! Also, I’m curious what your general thoughts on book trailers are. Sound off in the comments!
