Wow, October 2014 has by far been the hardest month for me to choose just eight books that I am looking forward to. September and October are always great months in terms of book releases, and this month is going to be abnormally spectacular in my opinion. There were literally about twenty books I could have featured on this month’s post. Alas, I always try to keep the list fairly small, so I chose eight books that I’m most looking forward to, all of which are being published this month and showcase a few different genres. First and foremost, the third book in my absolute favorite ongoing series, The Raven Cycle, is going to be released this month with Blue Lily, Lily Blue. Another series that I love, written by Michelle Madow, is releasing its sequel, Diamonds in the Rough. This a contemporary series that takes place in Vegas, and I cannot wait to read the follow-up to The Secret Diamond Sisters! The wonderful Julie Kagawa, who wrote the Blood of Eden series and the Iron Fey series, will be releasing the first in a series, called Talon, which is about dragons! That’s right, dragons! Marie Lu is also releasing the first in a new Dystopian series, which has the most awesome twist of being the origin story of a villain! Also, we will be seeing another first in a series fantasy, Snow Like Ashes. A.S. King, whose novels always contain just a drop of magical realism, is releasing a standalone that looks like it will be a bit more magical than real. There are also two other contemporaries releasing this month, one a mystery/thriller and one a boarding school book that looks like it’s going to be a little bit Gatsby. As I said, a ton of great books are releasing this month! Check them all out below and let us know what you think!
