MTV revealed the first two chapters of what appears to be one of the most highly anticipated young adult novels of 2015. And let me tell you, after reading this excerpt, An Ember in the Ashes has moved straight to the top of my to-read list for this year! The writing is captivating even for someone who doesn’t normally read high fantasy as it combines the perfect amount of action and vivid description. We just get two chapters–one from the POV of each of our main characters Laia and Elias–but they make it clear that this is not a book you will want to miss!
