Pick your path to find the perfect guy in this personalized romance set on the ski slopes! A book version of The Bachelorette! What better way to spend your vacation than on the slopes? In this unique romance, the reader’s in the driver’s seat—creating her own path through the narrative and ending with one of eleven different guys. By making selections at the end of each chapter, the reader decides who will be her perfect match. It could be the athletic ski instructor, one of the adorable twin brothers in the lodge, or the sweet guy with the broken leg by the fireplace. Finding your dream guy couldn’t be easier, and it all takes place against the snowy backdrop of a romantic ski resort. And if not all readers are looking for love, there are other options: to hang with your sister, make new friends, or spend some time alone. But any way you slice it, every reader will have their love on the lifts!

The book immerses you into a fun, family vacation at the ski lodge. Told in first person narrative, you really feel as if you are truly a part of the story. So picture this. You have just got out of a relationship and coincidentally the annual family skiing trip is here. What better way to get over someone than hitting the slopes, enjoying the sites, and well…the guys. As you read the book, you find yourself having to make some decisions such as talking to the first guy you meet or waiting to see who else is around the corner. But do not worry, you have your sister to provide that extra push of encouragement along the way when you get the urge to hide in the room. For all the boy crazy romantics out there, there are many eligible guys to choose from.

Love on the Lifts is written in a format of a choose your own adventure. It is a quick read that gives you glimpses of all of the potential hotties that are also staying in the same ski lodge as you. I love how interactive it is, however I wished there was more story and character development. It was hard to truly connect to any of the characters because there was no back story or much history told. Despite the quick descriptions of their personality and looks, I wanted to learn more about how them, their interests, and more. In some ways, it was like speed dating in a sense that we hopped from one person to the next quite quickly. However, it did show how light hearted and fun the book is. Love on the Lifts is definitely a quick read that you can enjoy in one sitting. The book is formatted in a different way than what I usually read, which made it refreshing.

If you are a fan of shows such as the Bachelorette or of just any romantic books in general, this book will be interesting to read.

While I was reading the book, it took me awhile to really connect with the guys that I encountered. It took me awhile to warm up probably because I fictionally just got out of a recent relationship. I would not want to kiss the first stranger I see and live happily ever after quite quickly. So, I decided to stay with my sister for some time during the book, until I saw a cutie reading (confession: I have a soft spot for guys who love to read-but who does not?!). Not only was he reading a book, but he was reading Harry Potter (shall I say that that point goes to Gryffindor?). Nerdiness aside, I ended up with Javier who was reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by the fireside. Now if that was not my dreamy (a little steamy) every after, I do not know what is.

If you are looking for a light read that puts you in the cozy, loving spirit then I would definitely recommend this book. It is one that you can read in one sitting as you are enjoying your cup of coffee (or in my preference, tea). It is interactive as it has endless possibilities; so who will you end up with?
