We love the Vampire Academy series and hated to see it end. In our review of the series, we mentioned how it ended with a few loose ends. Well, author Richelle Mead will start to tie those loose ends in the spin-off series, Bloodlines. Bloodlines will follow our favorite alchemist, Sydney and how she deals with both the human and vampire world. The series will be set in sunny California this time. Will other characters from the Vampire Academy world make appearances? Of course. Adrian will make a comeback as the male lead. (He’s the guy on the cover.) Also, it’s rumored that Mia and Jill will make appearances.
If you haven’t read the Vampire Academy series yet, what are you waiting for? It’s one of the most exciting YA series out right now. It’s definitely something to consider. Bloodlines will be released on August 23rd.

So what do you think of the Bloodlines cover? I’m not too impressed with it, but then again I was never really impressed with any of the Vampire Academy covers. (This teaches you to never judge a book by its cover!)
