Bayonetta 2 (Wii U)

Platinum Games’ cult favorite Playstation title gets its sequel on the Wii U with loads of fan service for both Platinum and Nintendo, and the entirety of the first game (PS3) included on the disk as a bonus. Bayonetta herself is a once long hair, now short hair, witch with all kinds of ass-kicking weapons and abilities at her disposal. Create combat combos, slow down the passage of seconds with her Witch Time ability, and summon Infernal Demons to decimate your foes in outrageous way that only Platinum would come up with.

The Legend of Korra

How do you make the already outstandingly accurate martial arts of the Avatar: The Last Airbender and Korra universe work even better in a video game? Give it to Platinum Games (God Hand, Metal Gear Rising, Bayonetta), a development company worshiped for the way they beautifully treat fighting mechanics in a game. This third person, single player action game is a digital download title made for those Legend of Korra fans eagerly awaiting the next chapters of Book 4.

Fantasia: Music Evolved
(Xbox One, 360)

Harmonix (Dance Central, Rock Band) has made an effort to bring Disney’s classic musically experimental film, Fantasia, to life in a sense with Kinect gameplay, set on a mission from Mickey’s own magical mentor, Yen Sid, not to dance, but to compose songs, including Frozen’s “Let It Go,” OneRepublic, Demi Lovato, Imagine Dragons and Cee Lo Green tracks. As long as it allows players to experience the terror of Night on Bald Mountain again, I’d be pretty satisfied.

Ubisoft’s annualized dance game, Just Dance, gets people grooving with the biggest tracks of 2014 including Pharrell’s “Happy,” yet again, Frozen’s “Let It Go,” and *sigh*, “What Does the Fox Say?” Also, somehow they still have a team on staff to make a version of this for Wii, if yours still isn’t collecting dust.
