Netflix Released First Trailer for ‘Girlboss’

FINALLY! A few days ago, Netflix dropped the trailer to Girlboss which coins the same title as Sophia Amoruso’s book #Girlboss. From a best selling book to the mini-streaming screen, we get to see the Nasty Gal’s founder rise from good looking rags to riches.

How do we feel? Excited. If the show is half as good and aspiring as the book was, consider us overjoyed. Sophia has been hyping up this show on her weekly #Girlboss podcast the end of last year and to finally see the trailer is refreshing to see that this is a real thing!

If you’re not familiar with Sophia’s story of how she came to run a fashion empire, this show and her book will give you an idea. But to give you the sparknotes version… Sophia grew up in the Bay Area and to make money, she rummaged through vintage stores to resell couture pieces online. (eBay was her best friend) From moving to eBay to building her own website titled Nasty Gal, she single-handedly learned the ins and outs of building a successful fashion line. Of course, this all wouldn’t have happened with a few kinks in her life. I mean, more than a few. Before reselling clothes, Sophia was a rebel and hopped from job to job without real guidance of what she wanted to do. Eventually and evidently, all things came together pretty well for her.

Girlboss is perfect for anyone who:

We’re hopeful for this show and excited to see actress Britt Robertson kill her role as Sophia.

Girlboss premieres April 21st on Netflix.
