Marvel’s Black Panther: Watch the brand new teaser trailer

What can make the start of the weekend even sweeter? Definitely the first teaser trailer for Marvel’s Black Panther!

The highly anticipated superhero film from Creed and Fruitvale Station director, Ryan Coogler, teases the secret world of Wakanda and its king, T’Challa – Black Panther himself. From the trailer alone, Coogler seems to embrace the look set forth by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while also injecting his own distinctive style of direction. If there’s one big complaint I’ve always had with the Marvel movies is that it seemingly often sacrifices style for the sake of great storytelling. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but when you’ve watched over 10 of these MCU films, one starts looking for something more… refreshing. With this fun teaser, it looks like Black Panther may be one to accomplish that merger between style and storytelling.

Read the official synopsis for Marvel’s Black Panther below.

Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king.
