The Maze Runner kid is turning into a man in front of our screens. Exit the charming young boy and enter the badass young man. Dylan O’Brien is taking on his first adult themed role as the American Assassin. My immediate trailer reaction was that O’Brien is definitely featured as a badass with some top-notch fighting skills and weapon usage. Joining him in a mentor role is Michael Keaton. This is a very interesting and unique pairing that I’m curious to see play out from start to finish of the movie.
Apparently Taylor Kitsch plays the villain and O’Brien’s rival in the movie. That’s another interesting pairing, even though both look so similar to another. The trailer assures you that there will be non-stop action, so there will be no element of surprise. I believe O’Brien can use this film to establish himself as a serious adult. He may still not look the part, but I’m all in to see what O’Brien can do in a young Jason Bourne kinda way.
This looks like an exciting action movie trailer. Clearly the focus of the trailer was on the fights and action, but that’s all that was needed to get me hooked into this film and awaiting the release in September. Here are two version of the trailer I saw. One is a restricted one with little difference. Overall it still looks like a solid movie and the trailer verified it.
