First Trailer For ‘Incredibles 2’ Released

Everyone’s favorite superhero family will be back real soon.

Disney and Pixar released the first official teaser trailer for Incredibles 2 today. Written and directed by original mastermind Brad Bird (Mission: Impossible – Ghost ProtocolTomorrowland), the highly-anticipated sequel to the Oscar-winning superhero romp has been talked about for nearly a decade and was officially announced back in March 2014. According to IMDb, the movie will revolve around Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) taking care of baby Jack-Jack while wife Helen/Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) is out saving the world.

The teaser, which doesn’t even crack a minute in time, is a friendly reminder of Jack-Jack’s plethora of superpowers. The trailer has Jack-Jack phasing through the screen before using laser vision to mark up the revamped Incredibles logo and giving his father an inverted mohawk. Disney knows comedy, people.

The rest of the core cast, including Samuel L. Jackson as everyone’s favorite struggling husband Frozone, is returning. An interesting development, Spencer Fox who voiced young Dash in the original movie, will not be returning to voice the speedy son of Mr. Incredible. Newcomer Huck Milner will takeover, though Sarah Vowell will reprise her role as the long-haired, shield wielding invisible hero Violet.

Incredibles 2 flies into theaters June 15, 2018. Stay with The Young Folks for the latest Disney news.
