Queen Biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” Debuts First Trailer

The first trailer for Bohemian Rhapsody, a biopic on one of the most successful rock groups in history, Queen, as well as it’s famous lead singer Freddy Mercury.

It has been a long time coming to see the trailer, much less the actual film in a few months, as it has spent more time in development limbo than in any other capacity. Stars and scandals have seemingly come and gone with Sacha Baron Cohen originally slated to play Mercury and Bryan Singer recently departing the in production picture after continued allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct revealed themselves to the public eye.

Rami Malek (Mr. Robot) and Dexter Fletcher (Eddie the Eagle) have long since taken over the lead actor and director positions, but after viewing this trailer a few questions still remain. Will the film be overshadowed by behind the scenes turmoil or can the talent involved pull together and deliver a story worthy of its subject matter? With the considerably talented Malek taking center stage in the titular role, the best we can hope for is that the rest of the film raises itself to the heights he’ll reach.
