New ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Trailer Released

Let the end times roll.

Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame - Official Trailer

Marvel Studios released a new trailer for Avengers: Endgame on Thursday morning. The world is six weeks out from the ultimate, potentially somber goodbye to its beloved band of movie superheroes and currently swooning over Marvel’s latest heroic crusader, Captain Marvel. Conveniently enough, Brie Larson does show up in the newest trailer, where she and the almighty Thor size up one another without a flinch.

The new trailer filled with flashy selective color editing of clips of past films, mainly reflecting on the core Avengers that have been here from the beginning. It remains vague on specific plot details, i.e. how the hell are the Avengers are going to bring back half of the universe’s living organisms? Judging from the trailer, it seems like the Avengers themselves have run out of options to undo the actions of Thanos (Josh Brolin).

Even Captain America (Chris Evans, clean-shaven) is telling people to try to move on from the ones dusted and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) can’t shake all the people who’ve died from his failure. Nevertheless, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson with red hair engaged) encourages the team to suck it up and find a way. At least they’ve got more backup in the form of Captain Marvel, Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) this time.

Compared to the doom and gloom of the first trailer, the new spot seems to inspire the “last hurrah” feel Avengers: Endgame is ultimately going for. It’s wise to keep Thanos out of the picture for now as the world speculates how he’ll come into play when the movie actually comes out. The only minor error, or potential spoiler, here is showing Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) reunited with the group on Earth donning shiny new white space (dimension??) traveling gear, negating any drama or story potential from the two being stranded in outer space after the Thanos fight in Avengers: Infinity War.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters April 26. What do you think of the new trailer? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to stay with The Young Folks for the latest movie news.
