Armie Hammer To Star & Saoirse Ronan In Talks for ‘Brothers Grimm:Snow White’

It seems like Saoirse Ronan is keeping busy in Hollywood. Her new movie, Hanna, is about to come out, she might possibly be cast in The Hobbit, and now she’s in talks to play the lead in the Brother’s Grimm: Snow White. Deadline reports:

Saoirse Ronan could be cast opposite Armie Hammer in Relativity’s The Brothers Grimm: Snow White that’s an revisionist adult retelling of the fairy tale from director Tarsem Singh… But Ronan (Atonement, and the upcoming Hanna) is still only “in discussions” for the title role.

Deadline also says that Armie Hammer (The Social Network) has made a deal to play Prince Andrew Alcott. In addition, Julia Roberts is set to play the evil queen. However, it’s possible that the talks with Ronan might fall through, seeing as she might not have time to film both The Hobbit and this. Also, the age difference between Hammer and Ronan can be a concern.

In other  Snow White news, Viggo Mortensen has dropped out of playing the Huntsman in Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman, starring Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron. No word on who will replace Mortensen. This is the second actor to drop out of the Huntsman role. That doesn’t give us too much confidence in the film.

In our opinion, we are more excited for The Brother’s Grimm: Snow White. Ronan is a great actress, and we absolutely adore Armie Hammer and Julia Roberts.
