The SAG Awards 2013 Predictions & Winners

Pictures6

We are getting closer and closer to the Oscars. Tonight is the SAG Awards, when the industry honors the best in film and TV performances. Since many SAG members make up a part of the Academy, this is the first award show to give a true indication of which film and actors could go on to win the Oscar. Another reason the SAGs are enjoyable is because it also awards TV, like the Golden Globes. I wouldn’t be surprised if Homeland continued its sweep tonight.

The SAG Awards doesn’t air until tonight 8/7c on TNT and TBS. Join us on Twitter (@TYFofficial) where we’ll live tweet the winners and share our reactions. (We’re pretty excited for those “I Am An Actor” speeches.) But for now, check out my predictions below, and share yours in the comments! (Late tonight, I will update the list with all of the winners.)

UPDATE: I’ve added all of tonight’s winners below. It was quite a random night; many of my predictions were wrong. The most unexpected wins were Jennifer Lawrence beating frontrunner Jessica Chastain and Argo taking the top prize for Best Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture.
