Hunger Games Miami Victory Tour Recap

In case you missed our chaotic live tweeting last week, we’ve decided to update y’all with anything and everything that happened at the Miami Victory Tour!

Upon arrival, I was promptly given my cutesytutesy(it may not be a word, but it should be) press badge and proceeded to embarrass myself in the press box, because being completely honest, anywhere I go in public I’m guaranteed to make a fool of myself at some point. This time around, some point happened to be less than sixty seconds after I walked through the door.

I told you.

Moving on, there was lots of fun and games, embarrassing Twitter names being called out, and autograph bands thrown out to the crowd for another hour or so. I’m ever so glad I didn’t have to fight my way to the front, but I must admit it was fun to watch it all unravel.

(Those little yellow orb things are the bands)

After the four celebs all came out and it was finally confirmed that Alan Ritchson is much, much more handsome in person than he is on television, the autograph session went on for a bit before the real fun got started: Q&A time.

When asked what the favorite scenes to film were, Ritchson mentioned getting to kill an old lady and enjoying it immensely. Ahem.

Sam loved getting to wield a trident.

Is that smile not adorable?

Jenna Malone revealed that everyone was “on extreme diets” for filming and Alan seemed to have the biggest problem with it, considering his favorite kind of food is soul since he’s from the south.

“They’re very mischievous,” Sam on Jennifer and Josh.

When asked to mention something each of them loved about each other, Alan gushed about Stephanie’s kindness while Jenna remembered Sam openlyy talking about how he had to shave his chest hair for the role on set.

Claflin said the cast, including Josh, Jen, and Liam were all very welcoming.

Regarding getting along with their portrayed characters in real life, all seemed to have something to say, except for Jenna Malone, who blandly said she would not get along with Johanna in real life. Stephanie jokingly noted that she would have really gotten along with Finnick.

If the cast could switch, though, Alan would be Gale, Stephanie would be Buttercup, Jenna would be Mags and Sam would be Haymitch.

Although it was a short Q&A session, it was filled with plenty of laughs and was a heck of a good time!
