After months of speculation we have our first official look at the reimagined Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from director Jonathan Liebesman and produced by Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes production company. Much has been made of Michael Bay “ruining” another beloved franchise and the film certainly didn’t gain any goodwill when it cast Megan Fox as April O’Neil. I was happy to wait and see and now we have our first opportunity to see the all new Turtles in action.
We get a nice look here at most of the major characters and it seems like Megan Fox’s April O’Neil will be our guide into this world. The conversation she’s having with William Fichtner’s Shredder hints at the reimagined origin for the turtles in this version of the story. I’m curious to see how making all of these characters even more connected will affect the story. As for the design of the turtles themselves we get a solid look at them and personally I think they look fine. What do you guys think?
