David Fincher’s ‘Gone Girl’ Trailer, Starring Ben Affleck

After the first reveal of footage being teased from CinemaCon just two weeks ago, the official trailer for the new David Fincher project has been released on the internet and it sure is moody, as the trailer is set to a cover of Elvis Costello’s ‘She’ as performed by Psychedelic Furs lead singer, Richard Butler.

The film’s script written written by Gillian Flynn, and adapted from her original best selling novel of the same title.

‘Gone Girl’ is Fincher’s first feature film directing effort since his successful adaptation of yet another popular novel with 2011’s ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.’

The film follows Nick Dunn (Ben Affleck), who reports that, on the night of their fifth anniversary, his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike) has miraculously gone missing. The story commences into that of a thriller, with Nick under pressure from the police, the media and his loved ones, as he begins to lose hope of ever seeing Amy again, and his life comes crashing down as his lies begin to catch up to him; eventually making him the primary suspect for the murder of his own wife.

‘Gone Girl’ reunites composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Finch with David Fincher for the film’s music, following a record of memorable scores for ‘The Social Network’ and ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.’

The film stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry and Sela Ward, and is distributed by 20th Century Fox
