Tim Burton’s ‘Big Eyes’ Has a Trailer

Big Eyes Amy Adams

Tim Burton is known for making films filled with surrealistic and gothic touches. We all love him; he did, after all, make the very first Batman film, which we all still carry in our hearts. His last movie, 2012’s Frankenweenie, was a huge success, and this Christmas Burton will treat us to a little drama with the release of Big Eyes.

Starring Christoph Waltz, Amy Adams, Krysten Ritter, Jason Schwartzman, Terence Stamp and Danny Huston, Big Eyes is based on the true story of Walter (Waltz) and Margaret Keane (Adams), an infamous couple from the 1950s whose “big-eyed” art became very popular, leading the couple to a legal dispute over ownership. Not exactly the type of theme Tim Burton has us accustomed to. Nevertheless, it’s sure to have his personal signature.

The trailer, which was released a few days ago by The Weinstein Company, gives us a glimpse of some very strong performances from Waltz and Adams. Candidates for the Oscar race? Only time will tell.

Big Eyes will open on Christmas Day. Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think!
