‘Strange Magic’ Has a Trailer!

Strange Magic

The time has come. George Lucas’ Lucasfilm is ready to launch its first CGI animated film. Just a few days ago, the trailer for Strange Magic was released and it is looking great! Directed by Gary Rydstrom and with a story by George Lucas himself, the film is inspired by William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and tells the tale of two magical worlds that begin a battle over a very powerful love potion.

Featuring the voices of Alan Cumming, Evan Rachel Wood, Kristin Chenoweth, Maya Rudolph, Sam Palladio, Alfred Molina, Elijah Kelley, Bob Einstein, Peter Stormare and Meredith Anne Bull, this animated feature also has a very groovy catch: the music, including songs “from the past six decades” such as Deep Purple‘s “Mistreated”, Elvis Presley‘s “Can’t Help Falling in Love”, The Troggs‘ “Wild Thing”, Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” and Heart’s “Straight On”. Seems like the film has a bit of everything for everyone and in a good way.

Expect to see Strange Magic in theaters on January 23, released by Touchstone Pictures. Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think!
