Welcome to day two of our Oscar Panel Series! After checking out our video blog on Sound Editing and Sound Mixing you’ve now seen what our videos will be about. Three TYF staff members, sitting in an oddly Halloween themed room, talking about the movies, performances and what not that were declared the best of the best of 2014.

Our next installment is Best Supporting Actress. While we all agreed that Meryl Streep’s nomination could have easily been filled by someone more deserving such as Jessica Chastain for A Most Violent Year, or Renne Russo for Nightcrawler our personal favorites veered a little more off course. Maybe it’s due to fatigue of the predictable, but Patricia Arquette didn’t end up being any of our picks-despite us all agreeing she was incredibly deserving.

Check out the full list of nominees below as well as the video and let us know in the comments who you think will win and who you think should win!

Patricia Arquette Boyhood

Laura Dern Wild

Keira Knightley The Imitation Game

Emma Stone Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)
