After months of speculation, the mystery artist has been revealed.
Sam Smith announced this morning via Twitter they recorded the new James Bond theme for Spectre. It is due out on Septemeber 25 and is called “Writing’s on the Wall.” Smith’s frequent collaborators and fellow English musicians, Disclosure, did “some additional production” on the upcoming track.
Earlier in the year, Smith said they knew nothing about recording the James Bond Theme though people kept thinking it was them. “I’m being deadly serious,” they said, “I think I would know by now.”
What a trickster.
