Warner Bros just nabbed Clint Eastwood to direct “A Star Is Born.” The film is a musical, penned by Will Fetters (‘Remember Me’) and already has Beyoncé attached to star.
The story follows the love story between an alcoholic has-been fading into the background of stardom and a young rising star. Typical and a little cliche. But I think Eastwood will bring something new and refreshing to this. It’s obvious that he has an immense interest and talent in music. He composed the score for his last several films and received recognition for it.
Musicals have taken a dip in interest lately. Eastwood is sort of new to the musical film world. Will he rise “the musical” back into everyone’s interest? We’re pretty confident he will.
