Behind the scenes of ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’

FBAWTFT

From the fantastical mind of J.K Rowling, the critically acclaimed author of the “Harry Potter” series comes Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. In this behind the scenes featurette below, we are given a glimpse of what is in store for us as an audience when this film drops on December 19. As you will see, this offers a look at the characters in the wizarding world of 1920s New York, roughly 70 years before “The Boy Who Lived” was even born. Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne plays Newt Scamander. It seems, based on the images we’ve acquired that they’ve nailed the soul of the ’20s in New York.

Newt discovers a secret coven of witches including two magical sisters named Porpentina (Katherine Waterston) and Queenie Goldstein (former A Fine Frenzy frontwoman Alison Sudol). Sitting in the directors chair is David Yates, a man who’s familiar with Rowling’s world given that he directed the last four Harry Potter films.

Rowling herself wrote the screenplay for which the film will be followed by. This is an interesting development given that often times authors adapting their own material is hit and miss. For a muggle such as myself, this may prove a fantastic introduction into this world. For older fans, this should be a great way to discover just how that textbook at Hogwarts came to be.

Be sure to check it out in theatres this December. Huge thanks to the number one Potter fan club in the world, Pottermore for letting us use this awesome featurette!
