First official trailer for ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’ reveals fantastical new world

“There’s a new world coming.  And it’s just around the bend.”

And it’s a most peculiar world, indeed.

In the first official trailer for Tim Burton’s upcoming feature film, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, an adaptation of Ranson Riggs’ best-selling 2011 novel, reveals more about Jake’s (Asa Butterfield) journey through the fantastical world of peculiar children and their headmistress Miss Peregrine (Eva Green).

As he is guided through this fantastical world by her and Emma Bloom (Ella Purnell), Jake soon learns that not all is well in this peculiar paradise.  As powerful creatures threaten the safety of the orphans, it is revealed that Jake has special abilities as well, and that he must use them to protect them from hidden enemies set out to destroy them.

The film cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Judi Dench, Allison Janney, Terrence Stamp and Rupert Everett.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children will be released on September 30.
