Disney has (finally!) unveiled the first official look at the live-action remake of the 1991 animated classic Beauty and the Beast.

The highly-anticipated film will feature the timeless story of Belle and Prince Adam/the Beast and the iconic score and soundtrack – with a few new songs by the legendary, Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken — reworked with a fresh approach for a more modern audience. 2017’s Beauty and the Beast is directed by Bill Condon (Chicago, Dreamgirls), produced by Don Hahn, David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman and has a star-studded, superbly talented cast: Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as Lefou, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, Audra McDonald as Madam Garderobe, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts. The screenplay is written by Evan Spiliotopoulos (The Huntsman: Winter’s War) and Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower), and the film is scored by Menken and Tim Rice.

Beauty and the Beast is set to hit theatres March 17, 2017. Though this is only the very first – and very slightest – look at the film, fans are buzzing. Watch the official teaser trailer below at let us know your thoughts!
