Stewart is a name that Universal has kept coming back to since acquiring the project even as it went through a series of screen tests with actresses such as Riley Keough, Felicity Jones and Alicia Vikander. Emily Browning tested this past weekend (Stewart has reached a point in her career where testing isn’t required)
If Stewart were to accept the role (seeing how its being handed to her, sans audition), she will work alongside Viggo Mortensen. He’s in the middle of negotiations right now to play the Huntsman. Charlize Theron also is in negotiations to play the evil queen.
Stewart tends to stay away from big studio films. It’s hard to predict whether or not she’ll accept the role. It’s obvious that Universal partly wants her for her legion of Twilight fans who will show up at the box office.
We personally think that she doesn’t have the right ethereal look that Snow White should have. She’s has more of a contemporary look that might not translate well to screen. Emily Browning or Felicity Jones would be awesome as Snow White. And we definitely know they have the acting chops.
