If you haven’t yet heard the buzz surrounding Damien Chazelle’s La La Land (including my own euphoric thoughts) then perhaps the latest trailer will help goad you onto the hype train. For what it’s worth as someone who has been lucky enough to already see the film this trailer just reinforced the adoration I held and made me excited to see it for hopefully repeat viewings. Giving the viewers a greater sense of the musical numbers throughout and the immaculate staging and choreography, the newest trailer should be yet one more reason to make La La Land on December 9th a must watch. The holidays and the stress they bring are right around the corner, students can already sense that crunch time for semester finals are around the corner and we’re about to reach the end of what has been an election cycle from hell. All of this to say, we could all use a little romance, a little glitzy, glamour and music, and a lot of cinematic magic to bring our spirits up.
La La Land will do the trick.
