The cast for 20th Century Fox’s film adaptation of Alexandra Bracken’s best-selling book The Darkest Minds is coming into focus. Actor Skylan Brooks, known for his role in Netflix’s The Get Down, is joining the cast as Chubs, completing the group of main characters. Brooks joins Amandla Stenberg (as Ruby), Harris Dickinson (as Liam), and Miya Cech (as Zu).

Jennifer Yuh Nelson, known for Kung Fu Panda, will be making her live-action directorial debut.
The Darkest Minds is a dystopian story about a group of children who have survived a devastating disease pandemic, only to find they have mysterious superpowers.
