Watch Benedict Cumberbatch in ‘The Imitation Game’ Trailer

The Imitation Game

For all of those Benedict Cumberbatch fans out there, the trailer you have been waiting for has arrived.  The Weinstein Company released a few days ago the first preview for Cumberbatch’s latest project: The Imitation Game.

Set in World War II, the film tells the story of the life and work of Alan Turing (played by Cumberbatch),  genius British mathematician and pioneer of modern computing who helped the Allies win the war by deciphering Nazi codes in Bletchley Park’s Government Code and Cypher School. The trailer looks very engaging and as always, it gives us a glimpse of what could be another outstanding Cumberbatch performance. Perhaps an early Oscar contender? Possibly.

The Imitation Game is directed by Norwegian director Morten Tyldum and produced by Teddy Schwarzman, Nora Grossman and Ido Ostrowsky. The film also stars Mark Strong, Charles Dance, Matthey Goode, Rory Kinnear, Keira Knightley and it will premier in the 58th BFI London Film Festival on October 8. However, the film will reach UK cinemas on November 14 and in the US it is scheduled to open on November 21.
