A trailer for the upcoming film A Cure For Wellness was released and it looks extremely creepy.  The plot of the movie reads a little like Dracula, with the main character sent to an isolated European castle on a business trip. But the castle functions as a spa-like retreat, and the vampire is replaced with some mysterious doctors. The trailer packs in the scary visuals, including dimly lit halls, cult figures, foreboding snake-like things, and eerie floating people. Additionally, it appears to contain an old-school sensory deprivation tank like the one seen recently in Stranger Things.

The film stars Dane DeHaan, who has Tulip Fever and the much-hyped Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets also coming out soon. Up-and-coming British actress Mia Goth takes second billing for the film. The movie is directed by Oscar winner Gore Verbinski.  He is probably best know for his well received, and Johnny Depp starring films, Rango and the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films.

From the trailer, A Cure for Wellness looks to join a long line of movies about people trapped in scary European castles which spans from Dracula, to The Pit and the Pendulum, to last year’s Crimson Peak.
