Robert Zemeckis’ ‘The Walk’ Gets a New Trailer

The Walk trailer

Robert Zemeckis has been hidden for a while, hasn’t he? His last film, 2012’s Flight, with an impeccable performance by Denzel Washington, did great at the box office, and people are still talking about that amazing opening airplane scene. He has been working silently since then…until now. Just a few days ago, the trailer for his next film entitled The Walk was released by Sony, and it is looking great!

Based on the true story of french acrobat and tightrope walker Philippe Petit and his known 1974 stunt involving the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers (also seen in the documentary Man on Wire), the film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Petit, along with Ben Kingsley, Steve Valentine, and Charlotte Le Bon. From the two-minute trailer, we can see that this will certainly be a film with a lot of amazing sky-high shots that are likely to cause a sense of vertigo. Fun, right?

The Walk, written by Zemeckis himself and Christopher Browne and based on Petit’s book “To Reach the Clouds,  is scheduled to open in IMAX 3D on October 2, 2015. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think!
