The Killers return with comeback single “The Man”

 

Alt-rockers The Killers’ have returned with a new single in advance of their first new album in five years.

The Nevada quartet debuted “The Man” on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show earlier today. The electronically-inclined tune is the lead single from their upcoming fifth album Wonderful Wonderful, which will be released sometime later this year through their longtime label Island Records.

The band has kept a low profile since the release of 2012’s Battle Born. While on hiatus, they issued the greatest-hits package Direct Hits in 2013 and have kept to their annual tradition of releasing Christmas singles for the Project Red charity. The band’s last release before “The Man” was Don’t Waste Your Wishes, a collection of those charity singles, which was issued in December.

The band is currently on tour in Europe, and will play American festivals such as Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits later this summer.
