Who We’re Excited To See At Life Is Beautiful 2017

Crazy to think that we’re almost done with 2017 but we still have a few festivals to go! This weekend is Las Vegas’ 5th annual Life Is Beautiful event located in Downtown Las Vegas. Although sin city is known for booze, booze, and more booze. Vegas will be filled with art installations, live music, and food! According to their website’s About Me page, “Experience the stages, dance to the music, hear stories, try the food, hug a new friend, explore the art and meet people who will change your life. These are the best days of our lives.”

We’ll be there on Saturday living our best lives and soaking in all we have around us that day. We’ve been to our fair share of festivals this year but that won’t stop us from seeing some of the same artists multiple times and other artists for the first time ever. Here’s our list of a few artists we’re excited to see at this year’s Life Is Beautiful:

KAMAIYAH – FRIDAY, 3:05PM @ DOWNTOWN STAGE
We missed Kamaiyah when she hit up Outside Lands but we aren’t about to miss her a second time. Gotta give love to artists from the Bay and watch them progress. See what happened to G-Eazy and Kehlani?

BILL NYE – FRIDAY, 3PM @ FREMONT STAGE
It’s Bill Nye. The science guy. Enough said. Your childhood self will thank you.

CHANCE THE RAPPER – FRIDAY, 11:25PM @ DOWNTOWN STAGE
Even though he might be pretty much performing the same set he’s been doing all tour, fingers crossed he’ll perform some of his new tracks he’s put out since Coloring Book came out.

SAN FERMIN – SATURDAY, 3:45PM @ HUNTRIDGE STAGE
Another act we missed during Outside Lands. The eight-piece band will grace the stage with their Starbucks like tunes that will get you in the feels. Perfect when you need to cool down from all the madness.

SIGRID – SATURDAY, 5:10PM @ HUNTRIDGE STAGE
We’ve currently been spinning a good chunk of Sigrid’s latest tracks that have hit Spotify spontaneously. While we can’t wait for her debut album, we can’t wait to see what she’s like performing live.

SOFI TUKKER – SATURDAY, 6PM @ AMBASSADOR STAGE
ICYMI – We interviewed Sofi Tukker just before their set at Bumbershoot. This time, we’ll be there to see the craziness IRL. We’ll report back.

FRENSHIP – SUNDAY, 5:15PM @ HUNTRIDGE STAGE
You know the duo Frenship whether you realize it or not. You may be familiar with “Capsize”? Yes, that’s them. But there’s more to them than that hit. Don’t look at them as a one hit wonder and check out what they have to offer.

KALI UCHIS – SUNDAY, 6:50PM @ HUNTRIDGE STAGE
Another performer we missed the first time around at Outside Lands. Kali Uchis has been making her rounds around the airwaves in the Bay and growing a following. Some compare her to Amy Winehouse too so, let’s just see what this is all about.

MURA MASA – SUNDAY, 6:45PM @ AMBASSADOR STAGE What’s a festival without a bit of EDM? If you aren’t into the hard bass like Deorro and Kaskade but you’re into
chill, head bumping tracks. Make your way to Mura Masa.

HAIM – SUNDAY, 9:25PM @ AMBASSADOR STAGE
Make up missing HAIM at Bumbershoot with their performance at Life is Beautiful. With their new album out now, it’ll be the perfect way (in the middle of the desert heat and welcoming in the Fall) to finish up closing off your weekend.

VINCE STAPLES – SUNDAY, 10:30PM @ HUNTRIDGE STAGE
The Sprite guy. Ah, yes him. But he’s much more than that. His stage presence is another level that’ll get you hyped for more.

GORILLAZ – SUNDAY, 11:20PM @ DOWNTOWN STAGE
It’s a must. Even if you only know “Feel Good”, witnessing Gorillaz is an experience and a duty for all those who can’t see them perform live.

Who are you excited to see? Check out their full schedule and lineup here. Catch you in Vegas!
