In honor of the highly anticipated release of the Arctic Monkeys’s sixth studio album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, the band opened six international pop-up shops on its release day of May 11, 2018. The shops, located in Sheffield, New York City, Sydney, Paris, Berlin, and Tokyo, offered limited editions of the new album (including both silver and gold vinyl, as well as cassette tapes) and merchandise like posters, keychains, and exclusive lyric books that fans could only access at those locations. Fans were also privy to a special look at the album artwork, as well as a behind-the-scenes video of the Arctic Monkeys recording their latest.
