It’s a slightly different sound for Katy Perry, and honestly when I first stumbled upon it on the radio earlier, I didn’t recognize it as her song and didn’t dig it much. However, like most of Katy’s songs, she doesn’t really grab you until you hit the chorus. That’s definitely the case for “Roar,” which after a couple listens I totally love now.
A couple weeks ago, Katy Perry announced via gold semi-truck her new album and its release date. The truck is currently making its way across the country, letting her fans take part in her exciting announcement. PRISM doesn’t release until October 22nd, but at least we have “Roar” to hold us over until then.
