It’s that time of the year again. You know, when you sit at home scrolling through your Instagram newsfeed seeing celebrities taking selfies at Coachella.

Yet again you tell yourself, “I will save up and I will be there next year, I swear!”

It’s okay. We’re here for ya!

TYF has selected some of the best performances of the first weekend.

Don’t cry, you’ll get to Coachella some day.

For now enjoy the music from the warmth of your computer screen.

1. Pharell Williams & Friends

We can all agree that Pharell is a great performer, producer, talent overload extraordinaire. He brought his A-game like usual but that darn Coachella wind storm got the best of him. The dust was just too out of control that it affected Pharell’s voice greatly. You can hear his usual clear and precise voice getting hoarse as his set continued. By the end, he was losing his voice completely. But the Coachella crowd came to the rescue and really helped him out. He promised he would even wear a gas mask if it meant doing it right for the next Coachella weekend. Pharell, you are such a pro! Besides his voice mishaps everything else was the typical Pharell perfection. He invited Snoop Dogg (Snoop Lion?), Gwen Stefani, Nas, Lorde and others.

Catch the Full Set.

Catch him with Gwen Stefani performing “Hollaback Girl.”

2. Lorde

Lorde broke out of her usual black outfits into a cute white crop top and baggy pants. She didn’t ditch her deep purple lips though. The crowd loved her performance and we can say she excelled at Coachella. She slowed down “Royals” to a much more simpler version that showcased her vocals. It doesn’t matter if you’re a fan or not, you hear her and immediately think to yourself, ” how is she possibly 17?” Lorde looked fearless performing in front of the Coachella crowd so power to her!

3. Solange…and Beyonce!

Yes, baby sister Solange Knowles was doing fine on her own at Coachella. But, she invited none other than sister Queen Bey and took her performance to another level. Knowles sisters breaking it down. What’s better than that? Can you guys give us a lesson, please?

4. Ellie Goulding

Ellie looked like a seasoned pro in total control on stage. She was dancing around feeling every bit of the music. She was feeling it! Yes, her vocals are just as good live. Here’s proof. How she manages to sway all over the stage and still be able to make those cool effects with her voice? We don’t have an explanation except for pure talent. Shoutout to her back up singers, they were on point!

5. OutKast

Yes, they’re back! This performance was the kick off to their reunion tour so you will be seeing more of them. OutKast are a timeless group who will obviously always be good. However, Andre 3000 why do you turn your back to the crowd during the iconic “Hey ya”? Noooo don’t do that. Other wise, as always the boys did great. They covered all their hits. You can find “I like the way you move” around 1:23:20. You can find “Hey Ya” at 1:26:40.
