Music News: Panic! at the Disco Releases “This is Gospel” Piano Video

On Wednesday, American rock band Panic! at the Disco announced the release of a new video on their official twitter. The video is an alternative piano version of “This is Gospel,” the second single from their most recent album Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! The music video for the original version of the song is chaotic and cathartic; lead singer Brendon Urie breaks from the hold of surgeons, from a coffin, and escapes ropes trying to hold him back, all while belting what I would argue is the strongest song on the album. The piano version is less frantic. A solo Urie takes the piano bench to deliver a pretty first verse that builds to the powerful chorus, at which point confetti rains down on Urie and the piano. The song continues to escalate while the confetti is joined by a myriad of flying food products: fruit loops, pickles, fried chicken, and who knows what else. Urie ignores the hailing food and plays the hell out of the song. At the closing note he takes his leave, calmly buttoning his suit jacket while being drenched by mysterious blue and purple liquids.

This is the first time Panic! at the Disco has released an official scripted music video for an acoustic version of a song. The coolest part?
