The Fault In Our Stars: Sounds besides your sobbing

The day has finally come, fellow Nerdfighters. The Fault In Our Stars is officially out in theaters, and while the reviews are a-plenty, we figured this post would focus on another great part—the soundtrack.  MV5BMjA4NzkxNzc5Ml5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwNzQ3OTMxMTE@._V1_SX640_SY720_ 1. Charli XCX- Boom Clap

I am obsessed with this song. Why you ask? Um, are your EARS WORKING? It is so pop music and fun! Not to mention Charli XCX prances around like a babe in a perfect crop top and full red lips the entire time.

This song reminds us of the excitement of finding new love, even if you know, you’re a teen DYING OF CANCER.

2. Kodaline- All I want

Toot Toot! All aboard the DEPRESSION TRAIN EXPRESS.

This music video of some weird Avatar-esq looking creature lusting for his co-worker really does this song no justice with how it was used in this movie.

If you don’t believe me, here are some lyrics:

All I want is nothing more
To hear you knocking at my door
‘Cause if I could see your face once more
I could die a happy man I’m sure

*Queue sobbing*

3. M83- Wait

In keeping with tradition of M83 songs, there are very few lyrics that are slightly inaudible BUT DAMN ARE THOSE INSTRUMENTALS RIGHT IN THE FEELS.

4. Starfucker (STRFKR)- While I’m Alive

We haven’t heard a really good song from Starfucker in awhile. It’s nice to see that they are on board with teen romantic dramas nowadays. Simple and dance-y, it reminds you to have fun while you’re alive.

Eh? Eh? Too soon. Too. Soon.

5. Ed Sheeran- All of the Stars

Ugh. Just, ugh. Before the movie even came out this music video was released, and I was already a bucket of tears. Between the quotes on the wall, and then Ed Sheeran sitting on that couch in the end.

JUST TAKE ME ALREADY HIGHER POWER, TAKE ME OUT OF THIS CRUEL CRUEL WORLD.

Did I mention when I fell head over heels for this guy from OkCupid I met all of one time, I played this song on repeat for a solid half hour while I wrote him a letter about “trying” and “not turning back.” Yeah, love is fucking stupid, but this song is fucking great.
