Interpol Prepares New Album, Shares New Single!

Interpol fans, rejoice! The band is getting ready to make a comeback by releasing its fifth studio album – El Pintor – on September 9 via Matador Records. The trio released a few weeks ago the first single from the album and since then, all the great comments have rolled in. Just a few hours ago, the New York band issued a new single from the album entitled “Ancient Ways.” The song has all the elements a good Interpol song must have: a lot of guitar and drum work that includes that iconic voice from leader and vocalist Paul Banks.

The group – that also consists of members Sam Fogarino (drums) and Daniel Kessler (guitars) – is preparing to embark on its first global tour in three years this September. El Pintor would be the first studio album without the contribution of bass guitarist Carlos Dengler, also known as Carlos D.

So, if you are just like me and simply can’t wait to get your hands on the new Interpol album, go HERE and check out more info on how to pre-order. In the meantime, listen to “Ancient Ways,”  the new track from El Pintor. Welcome back guys.

And in case you missed it a few weeks ago, watch the video to their first single: “All the Rage Back Home.”

Great songs so far, don’t you think?
