Music News: Motion City Soundtrack Announces “Commit This to Memory” Anniversary Tour

Motion City Soundtrack will be celebrating the 10-year anniversary of “Commit This to Memory” by going on a 32-date tour in January and February 2015. The band announced they will be playing their sophomore album in its entirety, along with selected tracks from their other four records, according to an Epitaph press release.

The anniversary tour will begin on January 17 at The Varsity Theater in Minneapolis and end on February 26 in Chicago at The House of Blues. Motion City Soundtrack will be joined with at least one other act per night, including The Early November, Hellogoodbye, William Beckett (from The Academy Is…), Hawthorne Heights, and Vinnie Caruna (from I Am the Avalanche and The Movielife). For clarification of which guests will be playing each night, consult the tour dates listed at the end of the article.

“Commit This to Memory” was produced by Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus and hit the shelves on June 7, 2005. The album remains the band’s most successful work to date with more online streams and copies sold than any of their other records, according to the Epitaph press release. The album has three singles, including “Everything is Alright,” “Hold Me Down,” and “L.G. FUAD,” a major reason it peaked at number two on the Billboard’s Top Independent Albums chart.

Tickets for the tour will be available starting November 14. For a full list of dates and locations, consult the list below:
