Taking Back Sunday will headline a North American tour between February and April 2015.
The tour will promote the band’s sixth studio album, “Happiness Is,” which is their second straight release featuring the original lineup of John Nolan (guitar/vocals), Adam Lazzara (vocals), Eddie Reyes (guitar), Shaun Cooper (bass), and Mark O’Connell (drums).
“Happiness Is” features two singles, “Flicker Fade” and “Stood a Chance.” The songs have been staples in the band’s set list since the release of the album (March 18, 2014), and both have received positive reviews by fans and critics alike. The record sold over 22,000 copies and debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200, according to MTV. It is also the first album released on Taking Back Sunday’s current label, Hopeless Records, after the previous three were done with Warner Bros.
The five-piece ensemble from New York will be joined on tour with Letlive, a post-hardcore outfit from Los Angeles, and The Menzingers, a punk group from Dunder Mifflin’s very own Scranton, Pa.
