Carly Rae Jepsen released one of the year’s best albums this summer, and now she’s winding down her 2015 in an appropriately festive fashion.

The Canadian singer released a cover of Wham!’s 1984 classic “Last Christmas” as a stand-alone single this morning, having only announced it on Facebook two days prior. Those who loved E·MO·TION  (like us) will find much to enjoy about her wistful interpretation of the song, rife with saxophone and twinkling synthesizers.  Jepsen indicated on Facebook that the song was produced by Ben Romans, who was also behind the boards for two songs on E·MO·TION (the title track and “Let’s Get Lost”).

Recently, Jepsen capped two successful-but-short theater tours in America and Japan, and will be playing three shows at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas on December 30, 31 and January 2.

You can hear the cover through Vevo below, and the song is also available through most major streaming sites and digital music sellers.
