Muse Premiere New Single, ‘Psycho’

Muse - Psycho

The wait is finally over. 2015 is the year English rock band Muse release a new album. It has been almost three years since The 2nd Law, but the band, led by Matthew Bellamy, have officially premiered the super guitar-powered “Psycho” as the lead single of their upcoming studio album entitled Drones, due out on June 8.

Over the past few weeks, the band has been showing – using social media – small previews of what we can expect from the new album: heavy use of electric guitars and a very energetic beat, something they are known for doing extremely well. Drones was produced by legendary Robert John “Mutt” Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard) and will feature 12 new songs.  The track listing includes:

1. Dead Inside
2. [Drill Sergeant]
3. Psycho
4. Mercy
5. Reapers
6. The Handler
7. [JFK]
8. Defector
9. Revolt
10. Aftermath
11. The Globalist
12. Drones

“To me, Drones are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behavior with no recourse,” Bellamy stated in the official album announcement. “The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. Drones explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors.” he added.
